"i say i want to help Lauren, but it's ultimatly her choice"(94 scheff) This quote shows that a person has to want to get sober, but if they dont want to they wont succeed. If a person is forced they will just relapse and everything will go up in smoke.

A connection to tweak that i can relate to is using friends as a weapon. Like i have said earlier friends influences your decisions. If you have a strong core of friends you will be able to stay on a straight arrow, and stay out of trouble.

pages 33-47 a connection i think i could see that happens in society is that actions can ruin friendships tare apart family and hurt a person greatly. Also in desperation a person can commit these actions, not thinking of other people and what it can due to them. Last desperation will cause you to get away from your morals and commit action in greed.
