One specific gender doesn't have a specific role. A stereo type for women maybe be one that cleans, cook etc. In the New York times, M.P Dunleavey (a women) speaks "I would continue to work, he (husband) would quit his job to take care of the baby"(NY times. This shows that man or women can be the stay at home parents. It may depend on income, this is expressed when M.P tells, "I didn't think of my self becoming the breadwinner, its just that i always had the higher income"(NY times).
